I am an intern at an air treatment company specialized in using Compact Trickle Bed Bioreactor technology for odor and gas emission treatment and control in industrial settings. I and six other IMETE interns contribute to research, monitoring and scientific paper writing to advance the understanding of this innovative bioreactor. We monitor and observe microorganisms within the bioreactor system using analytical techniques such as microscopic analysis, Nefermtest and spectrometric absorbance. Additionally, we perform data analysis on pollutant/gas concentrations at the inlet and outlet to assess the bioreactor's removal efficiency and modeling.
I chose this internship due to my strong passion for learning about technologies that align with my environmental protection and management commitment. In this internship, I gain practical skills and knowledge that will enable me to contribute to sustainable solutions for environmental challenges.
